Skandia promotes Best Doctors service with free draw for IFAs

Skandia is offering 20 IFAs free access to Best Doctors, a service which matches patients with the most suitable medical specialists to assist them.

The US-based service is provided as part of Skandia Protect, the new protection range released by the life office earlier this year.

Skandia says the product has been well received by IFAs at the series of roadshows it has run to promote the range.

Best Doctors is offered free through Skandia Protect but would normally cost £163.1,000 to access. Skandia is offering the service free to 20 IFAs because it wants to raise the profile of Best Doctors in the UK.

Currently, the service is only available through Skandia but Best Doctors has said it has plans to market itself more widely in future.

IFAs can use it for themselves and their family or can offer it to clients at their discretion. Those interested must contact Skandia by April 12 and 20 recipients will be chosen by a draw.

Skandia hopes that, by raising awareness of the service, its protection range will grow as well.

Life and investment marketing manager Lynda Cox says: “We are aware that perhaps some people will balk at the cost of the service. We want to show it is an extremely useful service. We hope to increase awareness of Best Doctors and also of Skandia Protect.”
