Skandia platform hit by power outage

The Skandia platform has crashed due to a power “outage” which cut off electricity to its London office from where the platform is powered.

The firm says it is working to make sure the services are working again before the end of the day but do not expect the platform to be operational within today’s working hours.

The system went down at around nine o’clock this morning.

A Skandia spokesman says: “We understand the frustration and we apologise for any inconvenience, we are working hard to get things up and running again.”

Skandia is currently taking instructions from advisers by fax on 02380 903 151
