Skandia launches new wrap tools

Skandia has launched a new range of tax and financial planning tools for its wrap.
The provider says the tools have been designed to support the advice process and enable advisers to demonstrate the benefits of their recommendations to clients.
The Business Premium Equaliser calculates the premiums that should be attached to each individual member of a shareholder or partnership protection arrangement. Without equalisation HM Revenue & Customs will not view it as a commercial arrangement and there could be an IHT liability.
Other additions include a Lifetime Premium Calculator and Paid Claims Tool.
Skandia senior manager, market development Colin Jelley says: Many areas of tax and financial planning are complex and difficult for advisers to explain easily to clients. This new range of tools has been launched to help illustrate certain scenarios in a clear and simple way and demonstrate the value of the advice being given.
