Skandia Investment Group business development manager John Campbell has left the firm, Money Marketing understands.
In July, SIG revealed it is making around 30 redundancies as a result of its merger with Old Mutual Asset Managers.
Campbell has been working at Skandia for over three years. He previously worked at Veritas Asset Management as marketing and sales director and Threadneedle Asset Management as investment sales director.
In July, OMAM confirmed that head of sales and marketing Simon Wilson was leaving the group to pursue other opportunities. Money Marketing’s sister publication Fundweb wrote earlier this month that Old Mutual Asset Managers regional sales manager Simon Cowan is understood to have left the firm.
A Skandia spokesman says the firm does not comment on individual cases.
He says: “When you bring together two businesses there will naturally be some overlap and therefore, as previously announced, headcount has been reduced by about 30 roles.”
Premier Wealth Management managing director Adrian Shandley says: “Skandia is one of the better-placed companies to go forward strongly after the RDR as it is very adviser-focused. If it can make redundancies and still function as efficiently as it has, then it is a good idea.”
