Skandia IM launches Isable property fund

Skandia Investment Management is launching an Isable property vehicle to be run by ING Real Estate.

The Skandia Property Fund, to be run by ING’s Nigel Pickup, will invest in a total of 25 holdings with the 10 largest positions accounting for 70 per cent of the portfolio.

The 260m fund was orignially run as a life and pensions vehicle but is converting to an Isable product to take advantage of the government’s new regulations on the inclusion of property in Isas.

Skandia IM chief executive Jamie MacLeod says: “We are delighted to be working with a first class, award winning team at ING and are very excited by the prospects of the Skandia Property Fund.”
