Skandia extends sponsorship of Cowes Week

Skandia Life is extending its sponsorship of Cowes Week in a deal worth £1m over the next two years.


The life office first sponsored the premier sailing event in 1995. This year&#39s event will have more than 10,000 competitors and 900 boats making it the second biggest sporting event in the UK behind the London Marathon.


It says its is continuing to sponsor Cowes Week because it believes it has been a large factor behind its record growth which has seen new business figures rise by 13 per cent in the first half of 1998.
