Skandia bolsters range by adding 77 funds

Skandia Investments is adding 72 new funds to its investment fund range and five funds to its life and pension range, including the high-profile Merrill Lynch Global Titans fund.

Skandia is also adding Aberdeen&#39s fixed-inter-est and Frontiers funds and Newton&#39s income and high-income funds to its life and pension range.

The 72 new funds will expand the fund ranges for its MultiIsa, MultiPep and MultiFund products.

The new funds will be broken down so that the MultiIsa will have a fur-ther 25 funds, MultiPep will have 24 more funds and MultiFund will have 23 new funds.

The changes form part of Skandia&#39s multi-manager investment approach it introduced to UK investing 15 years ago.

Skandia does not have an internal investment arm and all investments through the company are managed by external fund managers.

Investment brand manager Phil Morse says: “We continually look at dev-eloping and expanding our range of funds to provide independent advisers with the widest and best choice of fund managers and funds.

“The new funds have been introduced in response to IFA demand and will ensure that we continue to deliver the choice, quality and performance that IFAs expect.”

It is not that long ago that e-commerce-related articles appeared with relative infrequency in the trade press or any press for that matter.
