Six arrested in FSA insider dealing probe

The FSA has revealed that six people were arrested today in connection with an ongoing investigation by the regulator into suspected insider dealing.

Eight addresses in London and Essex were searched as part of the investigation which led to the arrests of five men and one woman, aged between 27 and 34.

The FSA says the operation was jointly carried out by the FSA and the City of London Police Economic Crime Directorate and was part of the regulator’s work into tackling market abuse.

This is the third set of arrests carried out by the FSA and the City of London Police into organised insider dealing in the last 12 months. None of the three sets of arrests are linked.
