Sipp provider Pointon York has been sold to Curtis Banks for an undisclosed sum.
The deal, which was completed on Friday evening, will see Curtis Banks take on administration for the entire Pointon York Sipp range. Money Marketing first revealed the firm was preparing for a sale in January this year.
Pointon York chairman Geoffrey Pointon will remain as a special adviser to Curtis Banks for the next 12 months. He says the firm’s office in Leicester will be retained and expanded.
He says: “The deal went through on Friday night and the business of Pointon York Sipp Solutions now belongs to Curtis Banks.
“They are perfect partners and they are going to keep our office and grow it, so it is good news for our staff and our customers.
“Pointon York is now a cash shell, so Curtis Banks has taken on the entire business.”
