Sipp manager offers free guide to pension changes

Self-invested personal pension administrator Personal Pension Management has produced a free consumer guide to recent pension changes.

The booklet aims to tell people how their pension plan will be affected and outlines any action they should take, especially on Sipps.

The Winterthur subsidiary believes the market will change significantly following the new regulations on April 6. The booklet is available on its website at www.ppml.co.uk.

The booklet covers eligibility for a pension plan, contributions, evidence of earnings, tax relief on contributions, carry-forward and carryback, waiver of premium and life insurance benefits. It includes flow charts guiding the employed and self-employed through points to consider when planning their pension.

Business development director Julian Palmer says: “The booklet is intended to be a valuable source of information for everyone with a personal pension plan and will be of particular interest to those thinking of taking out a Sipp. It is intended to enable consumers to make the most of the changes on April 6.”
