Sipp chief Hallett leaves Pointon York

Pointon York Sipp Solutions chief executive Christine Hallett has left after 12 years with the firm.

She has been on gardening leave and is understood to be looking to set up her own company. She is believed to have left by mutual agreement.

Her role will be shared among other members of the executive team which includes chairman Geoffrey Pointon, managing director Jo French and finance and compliance director Steven Clews.

Hallett joined Pointon York in July 1996 as operations director. In 1998, she became managing director and in 2006 was made chief executive.

Pointon York marketing manager Mark Scott says: “Christine is on gardening leave. We will not be appointing another chief executive but will be sharing out the role between other members of the team. We cannot comment any further.”

Informed Choice joint managing director Martin Bamford says: “Christine is always well informed and aware of the issues. She is very committed to the Sipp market. She will be a very valuable addition to wherever she goes.”
