SimplyBiz has reported pre-tax profits of £505,582 for 2010, compared to £500,308 in 2009.

In its accounts for 2010, the service provider increased turnover by 5 per cent to £932,166 compared to £887,107 in 2009.

In March, Simply Biz chairman Ken Davy (pictured) said the firm sees itself as the “champion of independent advice”, claiming only 3-4 per cent of the firm’s 5000 adviser members wanted to offer restricted advice.

In January, the firm partnered with Capita Financial Software to offer members free product and fund research.
