The academy, which has been open to SimplyBiz members for 12 months, is now open to everybody who wishes to achieve their professional qualification in financial services, including advisers, paraplanners, administration staff, providers and those new to the industry.
The academy focuses on four key areas – professional qualifications, sharing ideas, succession planning and changing business models.
Users can access course information, past papers and links to relevant text books.
NMBA managing director Steve Braidford says: “We believe that New Model Business Academy has been so well received because of the breadth of information available, its relevance to everyone involved in the profession and, perhaps most significantly, its ease of use.”
SimplyBiz chairman Ken Davy says the academy is “demystifying” the routes to financial qualifications and potential confusion.
He says: “The NMBA is going to make a really significant contribution to the ongoing development of advisers to become more successful.
“The next step is to enable the academy to play a vital role in the development of the sector as we move forward so we get the growth of the sector, the growth of professionalism and the growth of the availability of quality independent financial advice for all consumers.”
