SimplyBiz in platform talks with Zurich for restricted venture

SimplyBiz is in advanced discussions with Zurich about using its platform for the support services firm’s new restricted national proposition.

Last month, SimplyBiz chairman Ken Davy announced it is launching the restricted nat-ional business later this year.

The firm says it plans to sign up a number of platforms but Zurich looks set to become the first platform provider for the proposition. Zurich is due to launch its platform in Q3.

SimplyBiz joint managing director Matt Timmins says: “We have excellent relations with Zurich and it is one of the most favoured brands.”

Zurich UK head of retail propositions Mark Peters says: “We are in advanced discussions with several adviser firms including SimplyBiz, in preparation for launch in the coming months and hope to announce further details in the coming weeks.”

Murphy Financial associate partner Adrian Murphy says: “I thought SimplyBiz would go for one of the established platforms first but obviously it is confident that the Zurich platform will fulfil its requirements.”

SimplyBiz will invest £2m in the national proposition which is expected to launch in late summer or early autumn. It will be run by current New Model Business Academy managing director Steve Braidford.
