Sifa managing director Ian Muirhead has become chairman of the solicitor IFA organisation as part of management changes announced by parent company SimplyBiz.
SimplyBiz acquired Sifa a year ago for an undisclosed sum. SimplyBiz joint managing director Matt Timmins has been chairing Sifa on a part-time basis since the acquisition last August, but says the growth of Sifa now means it needs a full-time chairman.
Sifa legal affairs director Stuart Bushell has replaced Muirhead as managing director.
Timmins says: “As founder of Sifa, Ian has seen the business grow from strength to strength over the past 20 years.
“I have the utmost respect for Ian who has proven his dedication to bringing real benefits to both legal firms and IFAs by recognising and building on the synergies between them. As SimplyBiz managing director I will continue to be involved in the business and help Sifa as it expands its services even further.”
Sifa chairman Ian Muirhead says: “I have enjoyed immensely working with Stuart for the past three years, and this new management structure will enable us to work even more closely together to maximise the exciting opportunities which lie ahead for Sifa.
“As a company we are uniquely well placed to facilitate the convergence of legal and financial disciplines in the new era for professional services heralded by the Legal Services Act and the RDR, and with SimplyBiz behind us a very exciting future lies ahead.”
