Share-holding directors remuneration strategies


Nothing new has been proposed in the Budget that will affect the numbers involving this important issue and no new Budget proposals have been made affecting the fundamental facts relevant in determining this key area for financial advisers. However, the introduction of the new DC tax regime from 6 April 2001 and in particular section 646B of the Taxes Act 1988 may well herald a new remuneration strategy for controlling directors using a DC tax regime scheme rather than an EPP/SSAS This is considered later in this section.
