SGAM UK adds to bond management team

Societe Generale Asset Management has hired Gareth Isaac as a fixed income fund manager on its UK bond management team based in Paris.

Isaac has eight years investment experience and joins from Axa Investment Managers where he managed a number of UK and international government bonds including the Axa Framlington gilt fund.

Prior to that Isaac spent six years on the fixed income team at Newton Investment Management where he worked alongside his new boss, SGAM senior gilt fund manager Lorenzo Gallenga.

Gallenga said: “In addition to his experience in gilts, Gareth has valuable knowledge of global bonds and foreign exchange, which will make a significant contribution as we look to expand our range to incorporate the Ucits III investment and borrowing powers.”
