SG guide to investment opportunities in Europe

SG Asset Management has produced a new guide on investment opportunities in Europe as it believes many people shy away from investing in the region.

The fund manager says despite Europe being one of the world&#39s leading economies, home to many international companies, a major political centre and a top holiday destination, private investors are not fully aware of the opportunities in this market.

The guide, available free of charge from SG Asset Management, aims to convince investors they can no longer ignore Europe.

It explains what the market has to offer the UK investor and sets out why people should consider putting part of their savings into stocks and shares quoted on European stockmarkets.

Areas covered include what Europe can offer UK investors, a brief description of its biggest companies and which companies are outperforming the average and why.

The introduction of the single currency is covered and the practicalities of the euro for investors.

SG Asset Management head of retail John Ions says: “Europe is at the start of a new economic future and private investors can no longer afford to ignore it and its opportunities. Whether they pick their own shares or invest through a fund, this new guide will be useful to those interested in Europe&#39s long-term investment potential.”
