SG Asset management opens its fund of hedge funds to UK investors

SG Asset Management has opened its US-run fund of hedge funds range to UK investors for the first time.

The firm runs 1.14m of hedge fund money in up to 70 hedge funds including access to a number of closed hedge funds through the teams contacts.

Targeted returns are between 6 and 8 per cent over the London interbank rate with volatility of 3 to 6 per cent per annum for the firms Premium, Optimum and Equilibrium fund of funds. The Stairway incubator fund of funds aims at annual returns of 16 to 17 per cent.

The funds are to be marketed at the institutional market in the first instance.
