Sesame pioneers big push

Sesame is launching its biggest promotional campaign in three years in a bid to encourage advisers not to focus just on selling a mortgage but also sell supporting products.

The move comes on the back of YouGov research which shows that 71 per cent of adults do not understand the need for protection products to sit alongside their mortgage.

As part of the campaign, called Pioneer, Sesame adv-isers will be provided with posters, flyers and leaflets which can be downloaded from its website. It is warning IFAs that the need to provide a fuller, more rounded service is even more important if they are to embed treating customers fairly principles into their businesses.

Sesame’s campaign will be promoted at 60 mortgage seminar events over the next year.

Sales and marketing director Stephen Young says: “There are clear benefits in adopting a more holistic approach. Why would a client look elsewhere when advisers can offer them everything they need from one trusted source?”


Remortgages at five-year low
