Sesame hires head for new wealth management arm

Sesame Bankhall Group has appointed Pan Andreas as head of its newly formed wealth management team.

Andreas has over 30 years experience in financial services and joins from a platform adoption consultancy role at Axa Wealth. He was previously Intrinsic Financial Services asset management sales director and Towry Law head of employee benefits.

He takes responsibility for building and leading the wealth management team and delivering recently announced initiatives such as the risk and portfolio analysis tool, link-up with technology provider Iress and Optimum Investment Management, its joint venture with Henderson.

Chief executive George Higginson (pictured) says: “Pan has extensive experience, particularly in the wealth management sector, and a good understanding of how to build and manage a strong team.”

Andreas says: “My objectives are clear, to help SBG deliver a wealth management proposition that is easy for advisers to articulate and deliver.”

In November, Higginson was promoted from Sesame chief operating officer to chief executive. In the same month, Sesame signed a strategic partnership with the UK arm of Australian wealth management software provider Iress.
