Sesame Bankhall has added a range of group risk products from three providers to its restricted advice proposition.

Sesame Bankhall advisers will now be able to offer corporate customers group life, group critical illness and group income protection products from Aviva, Friends Life and Zurich.

The company launched its restricted advice proposition last year, which includes Aegon, Aviva, Bright Grey, Friends Life, LV=, Partnership, Prudential, Scottish Life and Zurich.

Sesame Bankhall group chief executive George Higginson says: “Advisers are telling us the group risk market is becoming more important to them as they look to broaden their offering to customers.

“Aviva, Friends Life and Zurich are also committed to working closely with us to give advisers the practical and technical support they need to develop their customer propositions in this area.”

They really do mean restricted advice. Over 70% of Group Life and Group Income protection in the market is placed with UNUM, Canada Life and L&G. They choose not to use any of them!

I guess they will soon learn when their corproate clients go elsewhere for not so restricted advice.
