Sesame appoints Paul Rignall as mortgage product manager

Sesame is appointing Paul Rignall as its mortgage product manager, joining from St James’s Place where he was the mortgage marketing manager.

Rignall replaces Andy Young who left for TBMC in April 2005. Rignall was responsible for the mortgage and general insurance proposition at SJP. Prior to this, he held several roles at Zurich.

He will be responsible for the management and development of Sesame’s mortgage proposition and is due to start later on in the year.

Sesame currently has written about 14bn in mortgage business and continues to grow. Its most recent venture was to introduce an equity release brochure to address some of the concerns of advisers on lifetime mortgages.

Rignall says: “I am very excited at the prospect of joining one of the biggest players in the UK mortgage market. I am looking forward to taking the mortgage proposition forward for the benefit of all Sesame’s advisers.”

Sesame head of product management Andrew Oliver says: “Paul will be instrumental in helping to steadily increasing volumes and overseeing the way in which we manage the needs of our RIs. We will continue to help maintain the levels of business they’re writing, help to broaden portfolios and efficiently use technology while working closely with lenders.”
