Sesame appoints non-exec director

Sesame Bankhall Group has appointed former Legal and General group risk and compliance director Diana Miller as a non-executive director.

Miller is also a non-executive director and board risk committee chair for Tesco Underwriting Limited and will chair the board risk committee for Sesame.

She left L&G in December 2010.

Sesame executive chairman Ivan Martin says: “We are very pleased to welcome Diana to the SBG Board. Over the last few years SBG has invested in a range of new services for advisers as part of its evolution into a broader based financial services group.”

Miller says: “SBG is committed to continuing to deliver the right outcomes for customers, along with the move towards conduct risk management, and has a real appreciation of the need for strong governance and robust risk management frameworks to ensure these are embedded.”

Sesame this month announced a reshuffle of its management in a move which saw distribution managing director Nick Kelly leave the firm.
