Sesame has signed a strategic partnership with the UK arm of Australian wealth management software provider Iress.
The deal, announced today at the Sesame Symposium by chief executive George Higginson, will see Sesame advisers use Iress’ front, middle and back office software programme Xplan.
Higginson (pictured) said: “Xplan will be SBG’s advice delivery platform to provide tools in support of the transition to a service and fee-based world with streamlined business processes to help our firms maintain first class service to their clients.”
The UK arm of Iress has been created through a management team made up of consultancy firm AT8’s three directors Mark Loosmore, Mark Thelwell and Nigel Smith who will be responsible for the delivery of the Sesame service and UK growth. AT8 will now close to new business.
Iress group chief executive Andrew Walsh says: “We sought to bring together a first class team in the UK that shared our vision of empowering networks and advisory firms with technology that genuinely improves their business.”
AT8 executive director Mark Loosmore says: “Following our work with SBG and Iress, the directors of AT8 have been especially impressed with the breadth and depth of the Iress Xplan wealth management software. We are all very excited about the opportunity this presents.”
Sesame Bankhall has also teamed up with Henderson Global Investors to launch a new investment arm called Optimum Investment Management for its clients.
