Selestia link-up aids IFAs with tailored portfolios

Fund supermarket Selestia is teaming up with Capital Planning UK in a joint initiative which will provide Selestia&#39s advisers with a host of tailored portfolios and investment tools.

The tie-up will allow advisers access to more than 90 bespoke Capital Planning-designed portfolios covering most risk profiles through Selestia&#39s asset allocation model. All the portfolios, which offer income or growth, have at least an A rating from Forsyth OBSR – except the unrated property and cash sectors – and can be used with Selestia&#39s wrappers. The supermarket&#39s investment tools will provide a compliance record for the advisers, including its profiling function, through which they can assess cli-ents&#39 attitude to risk.

Selestia says this tool will be of particular value for advisers profiling both new and existing clients, whose outlook on risk may have changed due to stockmarket turmoil.

Head of sales Nick Godfrey says: “We are delighted to be working with such a fast-growing organisation with an excellent reputation for quality advice. Capital Planning can access tools designed for their specific needs as well as benefit from the end-to-end processing supporting them with their paperwork and admin.”

Capital Planning sales director Martyn Pask says: “The future for IFA businesses is about differentiation from other methods of distribution as well as other IFAs.”
