SEI’s Richard Goodall joins Parmenion

Platform provider Parmenion has appointed SEI UK business transition managing director Richard Goodall as a partner in the firm.

Goodall leaves SEI to take up responsibility for sales and marketing strategy at Parmenion.

He was previously sales and marketing director at Ascentric. Prior to this Goodall was sales and marketing director at 1st The Exchange from 2005 to 2009. Before that he was Zurich Advice Network regional director and sales director at Axa Sun Life. He also spent 10 years at IFA firm Noble Lowndes.

Goodall resigned from his role at Ascentric in September 2011 to join SEI.

Parmenion managing partner Richard Mein says: “I am delighted that a senior executive of Richard’s calibre has chosen to join Parmenion as we work towards the next stages of our expansion.”

Goodall says: “It is an exciting time for me to join Parmenion with the market dynamics as they are, and with the new Parmenion developments coming on stream.”

SEI appointed former Cofunds chief executive Brett Williams as UK managing director in January. Williams is set to take over the responsibilities formerly held by Goodall.

The Platforum head of adviser platforms Freddie Findlater says: “Richard is joining a business that has gone through a bit of a boom lately having passed £1bn of assets. It will be interesting to see where he can take the business from here.”
