Scottish Widows corporate pensions director John Taylor quits

Scottish Widows corporate pensions market director John Taylor has quit the firm to pursue “other career opportunities”.

Taylor has been at Widows for five years and was one of the architects of ‘mymoneyworks’, the corporate pensions platform launched by the provider in April 2010.

Taylor joined Widows in May 2007 from Standard Life, where he was wrap marketing director. It remains unclear whether he will take up another role in financial services.

A Scottish Widows spokesman says: “After five years with Scottish Widows John Taylor has decided to leave the business to pursue other career opportunities.

“John’s existing responsibilities will be managed by the recently strengthened corporate pensions team under investment director Gavin Stewart.”

Widows has added Lynn Graves, Lorna King and Katrina MacLeod to its corporate pensions team in the past 12 months.

Graves joined the company eight months ago as head of business development having previously worked for National Australia Bank. King and MacLeod were recruited internally, having previously held communications roles.

Syndaxi Chartered Financial Planners managing director Robert Reid says: “John was instrumental in developing Widows’ corporate platform. It is important from Widows’ point of view that he is replaced quickly because it needs to boost awareness of ‘mymoneyworks’ among advisers.”
