Scottish Life is producing a range of support packs offering intermediaries practical help to prepare for the effects of A-day.
The literature is designed to help intermediaries with the new audit legislation. It will look at the different types of pension schemes available group personal pensions and group stakeholder pensions, occupational money purchase schemes and defined benefit schemes.
The information, available from Scottish Lifes pensions technical website for IFAs, falls into two categories: key issues documentation and a review form.
Scottish Life head of pensions strategy Steve Bee, says: “There are thousands of pensions schemes in the UK that would benefit from a pre A-day review, providing forward thinking intermediaries with an enormous number of opportunities to develop new business. The literature we have produced has been designed with this very much in mind, providing intermediaries with the necessary information to not only approach existing clients but to go out there and win new ones.”
