Scottish Life hires 2 new corporate pensions managers

Scottish Life has appointed Joe McGrath and Ken Tymms as corporate pensions managers.

They will report to head of partnerships (corporate pensions) Paul Spriddle, working specifically on Scot Life’s defined benefit business, helping advisers find solutions for their clients.

Both have experience spanning 60 years in the DB field, with a solid understanding of the issues facing employers and trustees.

McGrath joined Scot Life in 1987 as a consultant, becoming area sales manager in 2001 and pensions sales manager in 2003. He joined from Equity & Law where he worked on DB offerings.

Tymms’ experience includes pensions administration and sales roles with Equitable Life and later as a consultant with Godwins. He joined Scottish Life in 2001.

Scottish Life sales director Jim Smith says: “Both Ken and Joe have been key members of the corporate pensions team for some time and we are pleased to announce their new positions as corporate pensions managers.

“We feel that these appointments demonstrate our continued commitment to the DB market and to delivering best practice in market solutions.  Not least, our unbundled DB solution enables us to provide products tailor-made for our clients’ needs.  Ken and Joe’s experience will continue to provide a real boost to the team.”
