ScotProv sponsors T&C training

Protection specialist Scottish Provident is sponsoring a nationwide series of one-day training and competence workshops aimed at helping IFAs meet their N2 requirements.

The workshops, which are being run by T&C consultant Phil Billingham Associates, began last week and will run until November 20.

They will focus on key areas of T&C including recruitment, running a risk-based scheme, training and review assessment.

There will be 20 workshops on offer including supervisor workshops until November 20, advanced supervisor workshops from July 5 to 9 and refresher workshops until June 17.

Phil Billingham, principal of the T&C consultancy, will be stopping at Birmingham, Leeds, Bristol and London.

He is Sofa vice-chairman and a fellow of the LIA as well as chairman and founder of the IFA T&C Officers Forum.

Scottish Provident training manager Alan Cole says: “In the new N2 environment, it is becoming increasingly important for IFAs to keep abreast of and successfully meet regulatory changes.

“The training and competency courses we are sponsoring aim to help IFAs meet these demands and keep them up to date with the key issues involved in running an effective T&C regime.”
