ScotLife to sponsor pay-per-view football broadcasts

Scottish Life has signed an exclusive deal with Sky Premiership Plus to sponsor the digital channel&#39s pay-per-view coverage of Premier League football.

From this week, Scot Life will sponsor all 40 live games each season on Sky Premiership Plus until 2004. It will then review the contract.

In a move which marks the first time that top-flight football has been broadcast on a pay-per-view basis, each of the 20 Premiership clubs will have between one and six of their games shown live.

Scottish Life chief executive Brian Duffin says: “Scottish Life has been associated with Sky Sports for several years through our sponsorship of Sky&#39s coverage of European PGA Tour golf tournaments.

That deal played a significant part in raising our profile and we are confident this partnership will boost awareness to even higher levels.”
