ScotLife puts pension tools online for IFAs

Scottish Life is launching a revamped version of its BeeHive website within a newly-created online service for IFAs.

The BeeHive site offers head of pension strategy Steve Bee&#39s views on the world of pensions, along with his political papers, press articles and a collection of his cartoons.

The new IFA service, Technical Central, delivers financial statistics, analysis and factsheets on pensions. It offers an interactive forum where IFAs can hold online discussions.

The service, at, also gives access to up-to-date tax tables and Government Actuary&#39s Department interest rates, analysis of particular issues and a bank of frequently asked questions as well as a history of all the major developments in pension legislation from April 1961 to date.

Head of promotion and ebusiness Jim Smith says: “Technical Central helps provide the modern practitioner with the tools required to meet their specialist pension planning needs plus the ability to generate additional income by using the range of analysis and factsheets on topical pension issues.

“This is a significant addition to our comprehensive range of technology solutions for financial advisers and again emphasises Scottish Life&#39s commitment to providing value-added services for all our customers.”
