Scottish Life is starting an individual pension marketing campaign aimed at boosting IFA sales after the start of stakeholder in April.
The campaign, headlined, Get your business moving, aims to promote opportunities arising from the new definedcontribution regime which marks the introduction of stakeholder schemes. ScotLife says the market has been neglected in favour of corporate and group pensions as a result of stakeholder.
It is issuing a marketing pack which outlines business opportunities for IFAs in the market. The packs provide IFAs with 10 Ideas to Get Your Business Moving. The ideas cover the abolition of carry forward, pensions and divorce, concurrency, changes to life cover and waiver of premium benefit, remuneration for directors, self-employed contribution changes, pensions for all cover in the new £3,600 allowance, new contribution limits, changes to transfer rules and pension planning for spouses.
Product marketing manager John Joe McGinley says: “The focus so far has been predominantly on stakeholder and the company pension market. This campaign highlights other pension opportunities and provides sales aids to help IFAs offer the best advice to their clients.”
