ScotLife bolsters seminar line-up

Scottish Life is to strengthen its support for advisers with extra staff offering pension marketing and technical information at seminars across the UK.

Jamie Clark and Fiona Tait will be responsible for business development and will deliver pension-related information at the nationwide seminars.

Head of brand and marketing communications Stewart Cunningham says: “During 2008, we delivered over 100 seminars for IFAs, from Truro to Perth, the majority featuring the ubiquitous Steve Bee. Our plans for 2009 are to step up the support still further with, in particular, Fiona and Jamie working closely with Steve in supplying relevant pensions marketing and technical information for IFAs to use in developing their businesses.”

Legal & General Mortgage Network says it will be analysing the sales patterns of its appointed representatives with a new tool that tests advisers’ effectiveness when selling protection.

The mortgage-related protection framework analyses the ability to sell protection alongside a mortgage.

The mutual acquired Scottish Provident’s protection and offshore arms from Resolution during the first quarter of 2008 in a deal that was completed by June.
