ScotEq enables advisers to track underwriting online

Scottish Equitable is introducing a facility that allows IFAs to track the underwriting of group protection schemes through a secure website.

The tracker tool gives advisers and employers a central reference point that contains a wide range of data including scheme details and underwriting information.

ScotEq says the new initiative gives IFAs greater control over group protection schemes while reducing the amount of time involved in scheme administration.

It says the tool can encourage take-up, transfers and renewals by creating a more competitive product offering.

ScotEq is also embarking on a new marketing campaign showing how it is making the process of managing group business easier for financial advisers.

Head of marketing Simon Bailey says: “The launch of the online underwriter tracker is specifically designed to help financial advisers with the management of schemes for their clients. It provides a unique degree of transparency within the group risk market and is designed to enhance our service proposition within an increasingly competitive marketplace.”
