ScotEq back on the road again

Scottish Equitable is launching the biggest-ever series of pension roadshows to be held at 19 venues up and down the country during November and December.

The roadshows aim to

provide IFAs with technical and legislative updates as well as a forum to discuss topical issues such as stakeholder and

the situation since October, compulsory pensions and transfer regulations.

Presentations will also include a round-up of issues such as pensions simplification, pension credit, annuities and the age 75 debate and the Myners MFR proposals.

The roadshows will give IFAs an opportunity to question pensions development manager Margaret Craig and pensions development director Stewart Ritchie on a variety

of topics.

Over 4,500 IFAs attended Scottish Equitable pension roadshows in 2000 and this year the life office is adding four extra shows to the series.

Pensions development director Stewart Ritchie says: “We are back on the road again and are looking forward to taking the latest pension developments and opportunities to IFAs up and down the country.

“The current pension environment presents a host of business opportunities to IFAs and the roadshows are part of our commitment to assist IFAs in positioning themselves as favourably as possible.”

Venues include Swansea, Cardiff, Exeter, Plymouth, Manchester, Birmingham, Durham, Carlisle, Watford, London, Maidstone, Belfast, Southampton, Dorset, Edinburgh, Gatwick Airport and Reading.
