ScotAm loans roadshow

Scottish Amicable is taking to the road in the next two months with a

series of 10 sessions covering issues and opportunities in the mortgage

The roadshow, led by national mortgage manager John Malone, will take in

venues including Manchester, London, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Norwich, Reading

and Bristol.

Each session for up to 200 intermediaries will include a talk by Mortgage

Code Compliance Board compliance director Richard Fox on how regulation is

affecting the mortgage market and brokers.

Intermediaries will hear from lenders and can discuss their views on

product offerings and the future of mortgages.

Some of the speakers taking part include NatWest head of marketing Charles

Haresnape, who will talk about adding value to the mortgage transfers, and

Royal Bank of Scotland head of UK strategy Joe Flynn on e-commerce.

Other topics covered will include seller&#39s packs, product strategy for the

future, general insurance sales and the impact of the General Insurance

Standards Council.

Each event starts at 8.30am with lender exhibitions and breakout

discussion sessions followed by the main event which runs until about noon.

Malone says: “We expect about 150 to 200 intermediaries to attend each

event to hear from leading lenders as well as the MCCB&#39s compliance

director, who will be at each session.”
