Scottish Amicable is taking to the road in the next two months with a
series of 10 sessions covering issues and opportunities in the mortgage
The roadshow, led by national mortgage manager John Malone, will take in
venues including Manchester, London, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Norwich, Reading
Each session for up to 200 intermediaries will include a talk by Mortgage
Code Compliance Board compliance director Richard Fox on how regulation is
affecting the mortgage market and brokers.
Intermediaries will hear from lenders and can discuss their views on
product offerings and the future of mortgages.
Some of the speakers taking part include NatWest head of marketing Charles
Haresnape, who will talk about adding value to the mortgage transfers, and
Royal Bank of Scotland head of UK strategy Joe Flynn on e-commerce.
Other topics covered will include seller's packs, product strategy for the
future, general insurance sales and the impact of the General Insurance
Each event starts at 8.30am with lender exhibitions and breakout
discussion sessions followed by the main event which runs until about noon.
Malone says: “We expect about 150 to 200 intermediaries to attend each
event to hear from leading lenders as well as the MCCB's compliance
director, who will be at each session.”
