Scottish Equitable Protect has linked with Red Arc offering its care advisory services for people claiming on its group critical illness policy.
With immediate effect, anyone who makes a claim on a Scottish Equitable Protect group CI product will receive support from the care advisory service provider. Their immediate family will also receive the services, free of charge.
Red Arc support can include home visits by a specialist nurse, therapy or counselling, as well as links to specialist charities and self-help groups.
The service will also assist financial advisers in their recommendation of group CI product providers to employers.
Scottish Equitable Protect head of employee benefits marketing Simon Bailey says: At Scottish Equitable, we understand people need all the help and support they can get when they make a claim for a critical illness. Some product providers offer similar services but usually only after a claim has been paid. We firmly believe its important members receive this service whether a claim is successful or not. Thats why we are making Red Arc available the moment a claim is made not paid.
