Schroders to make US acquisition

Fund management and banking house Schroders is poised to acquire US investment bank Beacon Group according to the Financial Times.


The deal expected within the next few weeks will provide Schroders with a potential successor to its chairman Win Bischoff through Beacon&#39s founder Geoffrey Boisi.


Boisi, a former senior partner at Goldman Sachs is predicted to have a much wider role within the company than just head of its US operation He is expected to have a seat on the main board and to fill a gap in its top management.
