Schroders appoints ex-FSA economist

Schroders has appointed Craig Botham as emerging markets economist.

Botham joined the Schroders team in the summer and has previously worked for the macroprudential team at the Prudential Regulation Authority and FSA.

Whilst at the regulator he also monitored market events under secondment for the International Monetary Fund.

Botham will report into Schroders chief economist Keith Wade.

Wade says: “His experience in monitoring and reporting on EMEA markets while at the IMF and PRA will prove invaluable in his new role, and the addition of an Emerging Markets specialist to the economics team will allow us to provide more detailed and in-depth analysis on the region in the future.”
