Sargisson chosen to head UK operations for IFG Group

IFG Group, the Dublin-based financial services company, has appointed a new managing director for its UK division.

Tim Sargisson takes over the role with immediate effect. He joined IFG Group in 2002 as managing director of London firm Pensions Associates Limited and recently oversaw its merger with Manchester-based Santhouse Whittingdon Actuarial Services to form PAL Partnership.

Sargisson was previously a director of several London-based IFA businesses. He has worked in financial services since 1986, after joining NPI as a graduate trainee.

IFG Group has operations in the Isle of Man, Jersey, Cyprus and Switzerland. The firm closed 15 of its rural UK IFA offices in 2002 after a period of growth through acquisition.

Sargisson, who declines to comment on specific plans for the future of the company, says: “There have never been greater challenges in the life and pension industry.

“A-Day provides us with an unprecedented opportunity and our priority is to provide the highest level of services to our clients and to ensure that, as a business, we are well positioned to maximise these opportunities.”
