Sarasin rejigs fund range and offers Sicavs to UK investors

Thematic fund manager Sarasin is to offer eight of its Luxemburg-based Sicav funds to UK investors as part of a reorganisation of its fund range.

The funds, including the £83m glob-alsar Euro, £122m oekosar portfolio and £100m emergingsar funds, are being made available through a recently established UK administrative wrapper.

This move will enable daily dealing and settlement procedures in the funds on the same basis as that for Sarasin&#39s existing UK-based Oeics.

The company is also closing funds which have similar or identical guidelines, in a move to reduce costs. Investors in Sarasin&#39s webs@r global e-commerce and global health Oeics will be offered a free switch into funds including the websar SICAV and healthsar sicav, which are bigger funds run by the same managers under the same investment process.

Alternatively, they can switch free into any of the Sicav funds or the equisar global thematic fund and globalsar balanced fund.

Chief investment officer Guy Monson says: “We are particularly pleased to be doing this on the back of a very recent award for performance from Lipper.”
