RWC bolsters team ahead of US launches

RWC Partners has appointed a team of managers to work with Mike Corcell ahead of the launch of its US long short funds.

Gabe Marshank, Alex Robarts, Sam Weeman and trader Hayes Varey ahead of the planned launches of the RWC Baltimore and RWC US absolute alpha funds in October 2009.

Marshank will directly work with Corcell on the products. He will be responsible for the analysts, while Corcell works on portfolio management.

Robarts worked with Corcell for four years as an analyst on the Threadneedle American crescendo fund. Sam Weeman previously worked on the global tobacco team at JPMorgan Investment Bank.

RWC Partners chief executive Peter Harrison says: “These hires underline our confidence in Mike and the launch of his new funds. We have now been visiting potential investors for over a month and are receiving very strong feedback. Mike has a great reputation in the US long short space and has generated very good returns for his investors in the past.”
