Asset manager Russell Investments has announced it is expanding its UK retail range to address demand for growth and income funds.
Russell Investments is launching a retail version of its £760m Multi Asset Growth Strategy fund, which aims to achieve equity-like returns, with two-thirds the volatility of the equity markets.
The portfolio invests across a range of asset classes, but with a main focus on equities, fixed income and alternatives.
The asset manager is also planning to launch a new income fund.
Russell Investments head of UK retail Greg Stark says: “With the new funds, we will apply the full weight of our expertise to constantly refine the asset allocation, increasing the likelihood of meeting goals.
“This could be particularly useful for people whose investment time horizon bisects retirement, making it easy for advisers to help put in place a plan catering for changing income requirements.”
Chelsea Financial Services managing director Darius McDermott says: “These sorts of products, which focus on income and growth, are what investors will be looking at in the mainstream multi-asset market.”
