Rugby stars get help to Kick Start new careers

Glasgow-based IFA Park Caledonia is teaming up with the Professional Rugby Players&#39 Association and the Buzz Recruitment Consultancy to help two international rugby players on to the IFA career ladder.

Scottish international Scott Murray, who has played for the British Lions, and Saracens and Harlequins player Alex Codling will work at Park Caledonia&#39s offices as part of the RPA&#39s Kick Start scheme to help players start new careers when their playing days end.

Codling, who made his England debut earlier this summer against Argentina, is spending one day a week working at Park Caledonia&#39s Wimbledon office.

Murray says: “I am very keen to get as involved as possible with the company. I am looking forward to seeing how things are done at Park Caledonia and finding out if this is something I would like to get involved with when I stop playing rugby although, hopefully, with their financial advice, I won&#39t need to work again.”

Director Dean Goldberg says: “It is very positive and refreshing to have someone that is a professional sportsman and has the right attitude to what we do but is not tainted by being in the industry for so long.”
