RSM Bentley Jennison FM acquires Abercombie

RSM Bentley Jennison Financial Management has acquired Abercombie Pension and Investment Planning Ltd.

Edinburgh-based Abercombie is the firm’s first acquisition of a financial management business that specialises in providing solutions to private clients.

RSM Bentley Jennison Financial Management partner and head John White says Standard Life’s investment in the firm has given it a “great springboard for acquisitions”.

He says: “The firm has a progressive growth plan and this acquisition demonstrates our continued commitment to strengthen our position in the financial services market.

“The recent acquisition reinforces our ability to serve both our corporate and private clients, utilising the great skill and talent gained, both in investment management and in the area of flexible benefits.”

Abercombie managing director Robin Hendry will become a director of RSM Bentley Jennison.
