R&SAIFS feels agressive with new fund

Royal & SunAlliance International Financial Services’ (R&SAIFS) new aggressive managed fund is introduced in co-operation with Collins Stewart Asset Management, who will be dealing with the management of the fund.

Aggressive managed is an offshore life insurance fund of funds and potential investors have been identified as experienced investors who are looking to add a high-risk investment to a portfolio.

The initial investment spread for the fund will see it investing in five funds. These are Invesco UK equity, R&SAIFS Thames River Eastern European, Man AHL diversified which invests in market neutral hedge funds, JF Funds India and JF Funds eastern.

Like the other funds in the new R&SAIFS managed range, this fund will be looked after by Mark Piper, senior investment manager at Collins Stewart since 1998.

Potential investors must be aware of the risk involved before they consider putting their money into this fund because, like all high-risk investments, it could do well or it could bomb. It will join the 140 funds already in the Standard & Poor’s International asset allocation global dynamic sector.

According to Standard & Poor’s, the R&SAIFS Thames River Eastern European fund is ranked 68 out of 74 funds in its sector, the JF India is ranked 15 out of 36 funds, the JF Eastern is ranked 178 out of 218 funds and the Invesco UK equity fund is ranked 20 out of 169 funds, based on £1,000 invested on a bid-to-bid basis with gross income reinvested over one year to October 23, 2001.
