Royal & SunAlliances Japan Growth open ended investment company (OEIC)

Royal & SunAlliance&#39s Royal & SunAlliance Japan Growth Fund open ended investment company (OEIC) is designed to capitalise on the recovery of the Japanese economy.

Japan Growth will aim for medium to long term growth by investing in a spread of Japanese stocks and other investments. The company believes that Japan has now turned the economic corner in returning to growth following the prolonged recession in the country.

Although Japan has seen a great deal of growth over the past year, recently it has experienced extremely patchy performance. Should the recovery continue then this is a good time to invest as prices are low at the moment, but it is also possible that this market uncertainty will continue, leading to a bumpy ride for investors.

According to Standard & Poor&#39s Micropal the Royal & SunAlliance Far East 1 fund is ranked 4 out of 21 funds, based on £1,000 invested on a bid&#45to-bid basis with net income reinvested over three years to June 12, 2000.
