Royal London moves to combine business

Royal London has unveiled the new structure of its combined international business.

In June, the firm announced it would be merging Scottish Life International and Scottish Provident International to boost operations in the offshore sector.

SLI chief executive David Kneeshaw will lead operations for the combined businesses which are now based in the Isle of Man at the previous location of Spila’s head office.

Simon Pack becomes international sales director with responsibility for the international sales teams in Germany, Hong Kong, the Middle East and South Africa.

David White is UK sales director responsible for the UK sales teams, wrap distribution, sales support and technical development. SLI finance director Mike Crelin becomes finance and commercial director for finance, actuarial, marketing, underwriting, investment dealing and project activity.

Spila operations & IT director Dave Cameron takes on the role of operations director responsible for customer service and IT for the combined business.

Kneeshaw says: “Work is continuing on selecting the name of the combined business. But the executive’s primary objective is to have the business looking and feeling like one company by the end of the year. Beyond that, our future success will be built on sharing and using our combined strengths.”
